Roles and Responsibilities –
· Understand Design Document to develop Essbase cubes
· Understand dimensions, hierarchies and measures from the existing cubes or building new cubes
· Liaise with architects to understand the BI needs
· Liaise with BI architect to analyze the logical data model before arriving at the physical data model
· Build dimensions, hierarchies & measures in multidimensional cubes
· Ability to generate reports from multidimensional cubes using various slice & dice combinations
· Work closely with the team and key stakeholders to resolve issues in hand
· Communicate effectively and escalate appropriately
· Report status of the entrusted activities to the program manager on a weekly basis
Must have skills –
· Must have a good understanding of entire DW&BI space
· Must have worked hands-on in the BI reporting space using Oracle Essbase
· Must have played the role of a developer in the BI space
· At least 4-7 years of experience in BI space
· Must be able to provide development estimates for BI work
· Must have experience in Financial Reporting (atleast >=2 years)
· Strong client facing skills – presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communications
Nice to have skills –
· Exposure to Oracle EPM suite
· Exposure of in-memory analytical tools such as Tableau, Spotfire
· Exposure to hosting on cloud including AWS and/or Azure
