Role: Data Architect
Location:Franklin,TN
Duration: 6+ Months with possible Extension

JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Understand business requirements in typical DW&BI engagements
· Identify data sources for EDW build
· Liaise with BI architect to understand the BI needs and their impact on data architecture
· Design data architecture for any typical EDW environment keeping in mind the various business needs
· Produce conceptual, logical and physical data models of the EDW and/or data marts
· Document business glossary and data dictionary
· Review project artifacts from a completeness and quality perspective and ensure sign offs from designated approving authorities are secured
· Guide junior team members within the team for data integration activities
· Identify technical risks and highlight early during the project lifecycle
· Interface with external third party systems to understand input/output either upstream or downstream
· Provide inputs to the infrastructure support team for capacity planning
· Work closely with the team and key stakeholders to resolve issues in hand
· Communicate effectively and escalate appropriately
· Report status of the entrusted activities to the program manager on a weekly basis
Must have skills :
· Must have a good understanding of entire DW&BI space
· Must have worked hands-on in either the data integration space or the BI reporting/analytics space
· Must have played the role of an architect in large DW&BI projects in the order of ~ $500K - $1 Mn
· At least 7-9 years of experience in DW&BI space with an overall experience of at least 13 years
· At least a couple of experiences responding to RFPs involving DW&BI solutions
· Must have experience in estimating for data modeling, DQ, ETL and BI work
· Must have good overall knowledge on aspects such as clearing performance bottlenecks, security, scalability and robustness
· Must have experience in Financial Reporting (atleast >=2 years)
· Strong client facing skills – presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communications
Nice to have skills :
· Exposure of Big Data technologies
· Exposure of in-memory analytical tools such as Tableau, Spotfire
· Exposure to hosting on cloud including AWS and/or Azure
· Strong understanding of multiple technologies is required
