SQL/ETL DEVELOPER

OVERALL SUMMARY

This position manages critical Microsoft SQL 2008 and 2012 databases and processes supporting multiple applications in both Production and Development environments. Applications include but not limited to proprietary analytic and reporting tools, and proprietary datamarts.

The SQL/ETL Developer serves as liaison with staff regarding SQL Server databases; manages maintenance of database and automated jobs; coordinates support and troubleshooting; liaisons with internal client teams as needed; and ensures effective utilization of these databases. The SQL/ETL Developer manages and supports automation of ETL processes ensuring that they execute successfully, troubleshoots existing jobs, and contributes to various development and interface projects.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Database SSIS/ETL Administration and SQL Support:

• Very Strong SSIS/ETL and MS SQL Server skills required.
• Construction, implementation and maintenance of triggers, indexes, schemas, security roles, and SQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Development of Stored Procedures.
• Query optimization and performance tuning.
• Data cleansing and Data de-duping.
• Experience applying Business Transformation rules and ETL processes.
• FTP and SFTP integration.
• Experience with large datasets.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4-5 years Microsoft SQL 2008/2012 support and administration experience.
• Strong knowledge in SSIS Script development in .NET (C# and VB)
• Experienced in both Development and Production environments.
• Expertise in handling datasets with more than 3 billion rows of data.
• Exposure to schema database design.
• Knowledge of 3rd party Media Industry APIs such as Google, Facebook, and DART a plus.
• Exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau a plus.
