Project Summary:
DNA NExus has world-class platform, built on Amazon AWS, and is rapidly expanding to other infrastructures to meet the demands of research institutions, medical systems, diagnostic testing providers, pharmaceutical companies, and biotechnology start-ups worldwide. It stores petabyte-scale genomic datasets and process them in scalable elastic clouds, making heavy use of distributed key-value stores, virtual networking, workload containerization, and high availability techniques.
Responsibilities:
DNA NExus is looking for a cloud computing expert to accelerate their engineering development on Microsoft Azure.
Key Technical Skills:
· Azure Node.js (BE Computer Engg.)
· Extensive prior experience with Microsoft Azure APIs as well as Amazon Web Services APIs, in particular Azure Blob Storage, Amazon S3, Azure Compute Virtual Machines, Amazon EC2, Azure Virtual Network, Amazon VPC, Azure Billing, and other Azure APIs.
· Experience with Linux systems programming, including familiarity with Linux networking
· Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages, including Python, node.js, or Java.
· Experience with designing large distributed systems
Desired Skills:
· Some combination of the following skills would be an advantage
· familiarity with Linux virtualization and containerization, distributed and networked file systems, network security
· Linux package management and configuration management
· Prior experience designing distributed, high availability, or HPC systems
· Minimum 5 years of experience
