Role:
1. This role will be the primary developer on a web service integration from a point of sale system to an accounts receivable system.
2. The team is currently comprised of a solutions architect and technical business analyst.
3. This person will be responsible for the development, implementation, and unit/integration testing on the project.
Job Requirements:
1. At least 5 years of verifiable experience with Java programming in a J2EE environment with real time, high volume transaction based systems.
2. Demonstrated experience working with Spring frameworks.
3. Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design and functional programming.
4. Computer Science fundamentals in data structures.
5. Experience defining and consuming XML and JSON data payloads.
6. Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
7. Experience with use and implementation of a variety of application middleware such as Tomcat, WebSphere Application Server, MQ Servers, etc.
8. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and common practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
9. Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems.
10. Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
11. Passion for making high performing, completely reliable, and beautifully elegant software used by people every day.
12. Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between is desired.
13. Drives through ambiguity, self-motivated and thrives with minimal supervision.
