Sr. SQL Database Administrator:

Job Description:

 

The qualified candidate will have experience working with Production servers (currently 150 but adding 50 more). Servers manage development, Test and training. The candidate will have experience rationalizing servers and creating smaller footprints. 

Milestones will include: Preparation for viewpoint upgrade, rationalizing database servers and decommissioning servers. Role in the project will be an independent consulting role reporting to the Director, IT. The qualified candidate will have experience at an enterprise level from large Fortune 100 IT shops. The candidate MUST be able to work with the Business Analyst and document best practices. Office hours are standard 8-5 with some after hours off production times required. Candidate must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 solid years experience with SQL and Oracle. Candidate will phone screen, speak with the Oracle Manager, and then conduct a face to face. Time from submission to start is an estimated 5-10 business days.

 

Mandatory Skills:

 

1. Strong SQL 2008 R2/ 2012 Clustering 

2. Efficient in Oracle 11G 

3. Enterprise level server experience 

4. Server Consolidation experience 

5. Strong Documentation Experience
