 Job Description

·         Healthcare consulting firm, seeking a SQL Developer with Healthcare Claims experience, to provide SQL development, ETL, data analysis, and healthcare claims analysis.

·         This role is currently slated to be a 3 month contract engagement, with possibility of extension. Candidates can be located anywhere in Atlanta, but must be willing to travel on-site if need arises.

Role Responsibilities:

·         Participate in requirements elicitation in developing analytical insights into claims data

·         Review, validate and cleanse claims data towards preparation of the final data set for claims analysis

·         Develop technical specifications for constructing SQL based reports

·         Develop complex and efficient queries to extract required insights from the claims data

·         Follow agile processes to meet project planning goals

·         Participate in code reviews and QA to verify and validate coded queries against requirements

·         Optimize developed code for improved performance

·         Deliver final output of UAT passed work product (SQL queries) that generate actionable insights from claims data

 Role Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree, or higher education, required. May consider extensive experience in lieu of degree.

·         5+ years of SQL development and queries optimization experience.

·         2+ years of ETL experience.

·         1+ year of healthcare experience, either on the payor or provider side, managing claims data. 

·         Deep domain expertise and experience in handling paid claims analyses using SQL

·         Experience with dimensional and normalized data models - need to be able to understand data model structure and develop new data models

·         Ability to perform root cause analysis will require understanding of ETL processes.

·         Hands on expertise and experience in ingesting, cleansing and validating proprietary and standard claims formats (X12 5010 835 / 837)

·         Strong documentation skills in converting business requirements to technical specifications.

·         Excellent SQL development and testing skills

·         Understands and implements Agile SDLC

·         Can integrate SQL queries into visualization tools to showcase analytical insights from claims data
