Job Title :: SharePoint Developer
Duration :: 6 month contract
Location :: North Suburbs, IL
MOI :: Telephonic + Face to Face
Technical Requirements
· Advanced Microsoft.NET development experience with SharePoint 2010/2013
o Develop custom web parts
o Deployment experience across environments
· Expert understanding of the capabilities of the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server platform
· Experience with Visual Studio
· Understanding of workflows in SharePoint and Visual Studio
Duties and Responsibilities
· Participate in threads of projects and initiatives to deploy new functionality and/or enhance existing functionality; specifically:
o Understand business processes and how underlying configuration and data supports or enables related processes
o Gather, analyze and refine business requirements into technical solutions
o Identify and evaluate alternate technical solutions, providing recommendations in the use of new and/or existing technologies
o Develop solutions with a focus on providing business value
o Implement and test solutions
o Continually looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness
· Monitor and resolve break-fix incidents
· Provide day-to-day operational support
· Assists others in the organization with SharePoint knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function, including:
o End-user documentation
o Deliver training
o Technical documentation
o Knowledge transfer
o Mentoring of less experienced peers
o Other duties as assigned
Education and Training
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Knowledge and Abilities
· Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
