Lead, manage, and assist in all aspects of the software development cycle, including requirements definition, design, development, implementation, installation, maintenance, and documentation. Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements. Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas. Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features. Debug existing software and correct defects. Identify areas and make recommendations for improving the system. Assist with developing test procedures for software components as well as software and system documentation. Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
EXPERIENCE
10+ years of experience as a software developer.
10+ years of experience working in Unix or Linux environments.
5+ years of experience working in Healthcare industry.
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
Experience with scripting languages such as korn shell.
Experience with full development life cycle activities including design, development, integration, system & unit testing.
Experience software configuration management procedures and tools such as SVN.
Experience working with DataStage and TWS.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
