One Year Contract

START DATE:  8/31/15

 

INTERVIEW:   phone screens / skype

                    

DURATION: 12 months 

 

LOCATION:    Philadelphia, PA

 

REQ. SKILLS:   Hadoop Developer with NoSQL, MapReduce and Java/Scala

 

REQUIRED:

 

1.       Java and/or Scala development experience. Minimum of excellence in java collections, some jvm questions will be asked especially GC.

2.       Strong computer science skills – algorithms and Data structures. Will be given coding questions on collabedit with expectation of writing full code in 1 hour.

      ex: Find top K elements from N elements in array  - hint: sorting, heaps

                  Job Sequencing given set of tasks – hint: graph theory

3.   Hadoop Map Reduce (java code ) - will be asked about custom partitioners, writables , yarn

5.       NoSQLs - HBase or Cassandra – will be asked to design schemas for use cases

6.      Hive & Pig 

7.        Excellent aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts. Scala Futures, Akka a plus
