Required Skills
 

• Performance monitoring and tuning
• Code Releases
• SQL Servers Upgrades/Migrations/Decommissions/Patching
• Database creation/migrations/backups/restores
• Architecture of MS SQL Server 2005/2008.
• Configuring and Troubleshooting Cluster environment
• Installing and Configuring of MS SQL
• Patch installation / Roll Back .
• Worked in Database Migration
• Candidates having Database Administrators certification will be preferred 
• Must have experience of managing  high transaction databases in clustered environment (more than 6000 transaction per second)

• Excellent communication skills are must
• Setup and Configuration (Clustered environment)
• Recoverability & Integrity

 

 

Desirable

• Query Tuning/Execution Plans - should be completely comfortable browsing a query execution plan and understand how to use it to identify opportunities for optimisation
• Concurrency/Row Versioning - understanding of potential lock escalations, deadlocks, isolation levels etc is vital.
• CLR
• TSQL
