JOB DESCRIPTION

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Web/Portal Development Team is responsible for the development and support of all our client's public facing Web Applications.  This position affords the opportunity to: Lead a development team Sustain and improve the architectural integrity of the application(s) Promote good implementation practices, design, coding standard, testing, code review, etc Estimate implementation duration for projects, features, etc Assist in managing projects of various sizes. Support product management activities. Contribute to the requirements gathering process Guide the development process Translate requirements to design and then to implementation The Java Team Lead Web/Portal Development will contribute heavily to a planned redesign of the system architecture and functional components.   In addition, the team lead will provide all level 2 application support request. Additionally, this Java Team Lead will manage the Web/Portal Development Team work load, and will be the main point of contact for all Portal request and question.  The Team Lead will work on an array of tasks including, application architecture, design, development, coding for enhancements and fixes, testing, maintenance, support, project management, product management, project estimation, requirements gathering, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: Over 8 years of experience in Software development and 6 years J2EE development Good leadership skills mentor, oversee and lead team members Solid project management skills to estimate, plan and assign work Excellent software architecture and design skills Solid communication skills to interact with stakeholders Expert  in web development, Core Java, J2EE and SQL programming Skilled in phases of software development life cycle -- requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, support, etc. Highly proficient with at least one major application server, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, etc Strong experience with one major database server, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or MySql Guru-Level knowledge of the following frameworks, Struts, Hibernate, and Spring Experience with Liferay Portal a significant plus Excellent understanding of securing public web applications Experience with web service protocols like SOAP, Rest, and JSON .NET experience a plus Capable of mentoring developers of varying skill levels Strong problem solving skills Good communication skills Experience recruiting personnel Ability to work well in teams Thanks and Regards, Udbhav Mathur Technical Recruiter Technology Resource Group Inc. 3736 Hills-dale Court, Santa Clara, CA 95051 Desk: 408-709-1760 Ext. 701 E-mail ID: udbhav@tresourceinc.com
