- Candidate MUST have experience writing test plans first hand. Sophia defines test plans as not only the defining of test cases but also development of the test data, what test data is needed for front end/back end testing, definition of test/QA environments, resource allocations, etc. Also, candidate must have experience developing test cases from business requirements created by the BA team.
- Creation of test data. Candidate MUST have experience creating test data for front end/back end testing.
- Validating test results back to business requirements.
- QTP experience: USB uses TFS which is Microsoft's version of QTP. Also HP Sprinter (another QTP-like tool). Any of these are good.
- Record & Playback experience
- Looking for PROJECT testing experience (new product) versus software release type testing.
- These are all agile projects so agile is MUST.
- Must be able to hit the ground running and manage project type work.
- Must have experience with Data Validation tools: resources will write queries from the data validation tool.
- Familiar with back end testing using TOAD, UISOAP, XMLSPY, or similar tools.
- Experience with regression testing along with creation of test plans, test data sets, test data, test scenarios and test cases.
- Will work with business side and management so strong comm skills is a MUST.
- Analyze test performance results.
- Experience with defect tracking tools – JIRA and DTS.
- MUST have Quality Center and experience using it as a testing tool. MUST have version V10 and V11 is a PLUS. Ability to use QC for these things:
Input test cases
Create traceability and test cases
Create test matrix/test reporting
- Familiar with change control, test environment needs.
- Team player, strong comm skills, presents very well.
- Familiar with agile or iterative methodologies
- Experience working projects: working with vendors, upper management, business owners, etc.
- Will be presenting TEST MATRIX's to team so experience with Powerpoint, Visio and Word is desired.
These candidates must be able to run the gamet of the testing/QA life cycle from beginning to end. They must have FIRST HAND/HANDS ON experience doing all phases. Sophia's Team Leads do not have the time to hold their hands.
