We are looking for a Senior WebSphere Administrator with 8+ years' experience supporting WebSphere Application Server on Unix and Windows operating systems. The candidate must demonstrate solid experience with system administration, change management, user management and software logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operation of WebSphere Application Server environment. Essential Functions
Supporting WebSphere Application Server and Web Servers(Apache, IHS, IIS) in WebSphere environments
Day to day administration of WebSphere Application Server environments including configuration changes, troubleshooting and performance tuning]
Support aggressive deployments from development to pre-production and production WebSphere environments
Troubleshooting performance problems considering infrastructure, database and other WebSphere interfaces
Supporting production environment during non-business hours
Installing/Configuring/Supporting WebServers – Apache, IHS, IIS
Technical Support to application developers
Documenting all the changes/issues/resolutions
Key Performance Indicators
Support
-Ability to support other web administrators
-Ability to work unassisted
-Able to troubleshoot problems effectively and seamlessly
-Ability to proactively address problems to prevent them occurring
Project
-Ability to plan, manage and deliver ad hoc project work on time and as requested
-Ability to communicate with web administrators, business/end users and other IT personnel to effectively interpret their requirements and then deliver where Web Administration Team is responsible
