Job Description:
General Summary:
• Validation of environment (Database, Middleware and Infrastructure).
• Conduct Pre-planning tasks needed for monitoring/metric collection.
• Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes.
• Coordinate with Senior Developer, Database Administrator, Middleware and Infrastructure Admins for Root Cause Analysis and provide corrective actions.
• Perform Health check of Application and Platform for resolving critical issues in Mission Critical Platforms.
• Review performance tuning transactions and improve response times
• Make recommendations to stakeholders and present on test results
• Escalate to management for any issues / bottlenecks that would delay project timelines.
Qualifications:
• Experience in Middleware, Database and Infrastructure development to allow candidate to understand how pieces work together and how to adjust or troubleshoot based on different test results
• Ability to release & diagnosis Middleware (JVM, Weblogic, JBoss, IIS, etc.), database (Oracle, MSSQL, etc.), Operating system (Linux, Windows) on Virtual Infrastructure. This includes reviewing test results, understanding them, working with developers to review issues and identify fixes .
• Must have troubleshooting skills to resolve complex performance issues.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
• Must have development experience with Java and web based applications. Some testing background is required to understand and interpret testing
• Knowledge of Load Runner a plus but not required
• Exposure to performance monitoring tools such as APM, CEM, CA Intrascope, TOAD.
