Job Title: MySQL Developer/Admin with High-Transactional Application Experience

Location: Logan, Utah (about 90 minutes north of Salt Lake City)

Interview Process: 1 (potentially 2) Skype interviews

Contract Duration: 6 – 12 month contract-to-hire

Rate: $55/hr C2C

 

Job Skills & Technologies:

·         MySQL Database Administration, troubleshooting, and data manipulation experience

·         MySQL Database Design and Development experience

·         High-Transactional Application experience

·         Replication, Redundancy & High-availability duplication experience

·         Backup, recovery, and data integrity experience

·         Linux systems experience

·         Scripting experience

·         PLUS – but not required - InnoDB table types experience

·         PLUS – but not required - MySQL Database Administrator Certification

Job Overview

·         Searching for an experienced MySQL database consultant that can support and work with existing DBA's and software engineers.

·         The team currently has 2x MySQL-based systems running on Linux.

·         The first system is a proprietary online platform that is built and maintained in house, with database administration currently handled by software developers

·         The second system is a new third party solution that they are in the process of moving retail (store-based) business to.

·         This MySQL database administrator will also help to drive best practice infrastructure implementation of their MySQL databases and on-going DBA infrastructure

·         Serves as the point of contact for advanced level troubleshooting issues, and performs hands-on systems administration as required

·         Involved in application development projects to evolve the database architecture and design
