Position:  Teradata DBA

Location:  Richardson, TX

Duration:  2 months (Extendable)

 

JD

·         Teradata DBA and System support services to cover Dev, Test & Production environments including proactive monitoring. SQL tuning recommendations, code promotion, database design, backup/recovery, database operations and support, capacity planning and workload management (TASM).

·         Below is the list of in scope L1, L2 and L3 services.

 

L1 Services

·         Access, Roles and User Management

·         Incident Monitoring

·         Request management

·         Database Availability Monitoring and health check

·         BAR & Workload Monitoring

·         Monitoring Scheduled Jobs and Alerts

·         Monitoring Teradata system health and hardware

·         Monitoring space utilization

·         Problem Management (Initial Analysis and Troubleshooting)

·         Performance and Capacity Monitoring

 

L2 Services

·         Backup and recovery Management

·         Data archiving and retrieval

·         Incident Management

·         Space management

·         Performance and Query tuning and troubleshooting performance issues

·         Problem Management (Detailed Analysis and Troubleshooting)

·         Administration and Configuration

·         Backup and recovery Management and Data archiving and retrieval

·         Database creations as per  process

·         Security Administration

·         Resolving connectivity issues

·         Reporting

 

L3 Services

·         Data compressions (MVC)

·         Capacity Planning

·         Teradata health improvement -  using historical trend Analysis PMCP/PDCR

·         DR and Business Continuance Planning

·         BAR, Security policies

·         Proactive Maintenance & Productivity improvement

·         Upgrade and patch installation and working with Teradata CS.
