Java Developer with Web Services

Job Responsibilites and Accountabilities:
· Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments.
· Maintains excellent business communication with Analysts, Business Owners and Technical Staff. Provides analysts, management and business owners/users with status reports, problem logs (issue logs) and service request status on all tasks in the work group. Oversee time spent by others in the work group.
· Evaluate alternative approaches in design of application systems, including assessment of risks and benefits associated with each alternative.
· Participates in the implementation of new systems including the integration of the new system.
· Verify installed systems to ensure that they adequately meet user requirements.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
· Expertise in Java Web Services, including both SOAP and RESTful web services. Comfortable refactoring existing web services to make more performant/maintainable. Apache CXF experience preferred.
· Knowledge of TDD, refactoring, and Continuous Integration. Jenkins, JUnit and Mockito experience preferred.
· Experience utilizing Spring libraries in projects.
· Solid knowledge of at least one DBMS and ORM. Oracle SQL and Hibernate experience preferred.
· Knowledge of Unix systems, including server configuration and setup. Solaris and RedHat Linux preferred.
· Proficient in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. Ensures compliance with SDLC Leads.
· Experience with SOLR preferred.
Job Overview:

Handles conflicting direction and resolves conflict to proceed. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
