Seeking 5+ talented UI Software Developers to join our team in a client-facing capacity. The role of the UI Developer is to direct the implementation strategy of user experience across multiple web sites and portals. In this function, the resource will have the responsibility to identify new technologies that can be used to make the user experience as rich as possible on the web sites.
The ideal candidate will have prior hands on experience in creating web pages leveraging HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Adobe CQ, JQuery and others. This person will use their creative skills to help develop engaging interfaces to match today's desktop and mobile standards. The ideal candidate has a previous working knowledge of multiple software development life cycles including Agile, Waterfall and other methodologies.
The ideal candidate will work closely with team members to perform the following tasks using a combination of solid UI experience, business requirements understanding, strong analytical and problem-solving:
•Work closely with business team and business analysts and be able to quickly understand the new requirements and helps to identify the UI elements impacted.
•The UI developer will also work closely on a day-to-day basis with development team, designers, copy writers, information architects and other IT teams.
•As an UI expert, the role develops and presents recommendations from analysis of current solution.
•Be able to offer solutions and designs to solve process, project or program issues; provides recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness. Defends a recommendation and can confidently support it.
•The person will have the urge and drive to take initiative and propose changes back to the business for better user experience.
•The person will also serve as a coach/mentor for the other UI and back-end developers on the new system requirements and/or enhancements being requested and help them drive the solutions.
Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience planning, designing and building complex web sites and applications
•Strong conceptual development, wire framing, layout and illustration skills
•Expert experience in HTML 5/CSS 3/JavaScript/JQuery and JQuery UI
•Expert experience writing object oriented JavaScript and DOM manipulation
•Understanding of AJAX, JSON, Angular
•Experience in Photoshop, Adobe CQ, Liferay and others
•Basic understand of Java, JSP and ESP
•Ability to build cross browser liquid and fluid layouts
•Prior experience in interactive, responsive and adaptive design principles
•Experience with any of the following a plus: PHP (Joomla), .net, Perl, Java.
•Ability to work in a team environment to develop and implement design.
•Works collaboratively with stakeholders to understand constraints and expectations.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Demonstrated ability to guide, facilitate, and/or lead the efforts.
•Independently possesses the ability to diagnose complex situations into manageable parts.
•Experience working in an Agile development methodology
•A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline desired
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous experience working on larger development teams
•Previous experience in development of onboarding and user registration web applications
•A master's degree in a technical discipline
