Project manager with significant experience deploying hardware and/or software in carrier data/switching centers and integrating network applications.

 

Rate-$45/hr on w2/$53/hr on c2c

Long Term Project

 

 The position is in Redmond WA and the candidate will be expected to work on site with the rest of the project team.

 

 

Position Description:

Client is in need of an experienced project manager to execute projects related to the Unified Subscriber Database (USD) program.

• Identify necessary project resources (both internal and external) and create collaborative project plans with project team.

• Maintain project schedule.

• Execute project within defined schedule and cost baselines. Provide regular updates.

• Establish communication plan, conduct regular project meetings, record and publish minutes, and track and drive all actions items to closure.

• Manage project scope and avoid scope creep by recommending Change Requests as appropriate.

• Provide weekly project report/update appropriate tracking tools

 

Required Competencies and Skills:

 

• Project manager with significant experience deploying hardware and/or software in carrier data/switching centers and integrating network applications.

• Knowledge and experience of customer operations is a must. That includes development of MOP’s, certification in customer labs and deployment to customer networks.

• Strong communication skills: must be comfortable leading meetings with the appropriate level of technical and project management discourse.

• Experience leading both local and global project teams.

• Strong sense of personal responsibility and project ownership – personally drives issues to closure.

• Experience in working directly with customers during planning and project execution phases.

• Comfortable with tight deadlines and a dynamic environment.

 

Education & Experience or Other Requirements:

 

• PMP Certification

• Adherence to Nokia project management policies and procedures as described in the PBMBOK
