The project has provided the following updates for the Production Service Engineer role:
Key Skills:
1) SQL (T-SQL (CRUD including joins, temp tables, transactions, etc.), SQL Roles, Databases, Tables, Data Types, general SQL structures)
2) TFS (Team Foundation Server) experience (looking up TFS items, creating bugs, updating TFS items
3) SharePoint navigation (Sites, Lists mostly)
4) Office (Word and Excel primarily)
5) Understand Windows OS and features including services
6) Knowledgeable in networking basics including routing, ports, ACLs, domains
7) Knowledgeable in authentication including Kerberos, Integrated, SQL, Active Directory
8) Experience troubleshooting medium to highly complex problems as it relates to any of the above
9) Understands potential failure modes of OSI stack and mitigations
10) Excellent verbal and written communication
11) Ability to absorb and filter large amounts of information
12) Ability to ask very pointed questions
13) Ability to develop plan of action for completing project(s)
1) SQL Server is one of the Prime requirements for this position. We need someone with solid SQL Skills, who has been working within this skill recently, at least in last 2-4 years – longer than this and the skills are outdated.
2) The other aspect of the role is Tier 3 level experience in Application Support /Troubleshooting Microsoft platforms like Windows, IIS, network etc. and Release management.
