Must-haves

-- Required: 2+ years of hand-on experience writing automation scripts with HP Quality Center / QTP.

HP Quality Center / ALM Business Process Testing (BPT) automated test tool experience as this is the specific tool we are using.
-- Experience in developing data driven tests and writing QTP/UFT functions using VB Script.
-- Experience in QTP/UFT object repository
-- Experience automating Web Services/Database testing using UFT a plus.
-- Strong SQL skills (working knowledge with TOAD a plus)
-- Web services testing using tool such as SOAP desired

 

Day-to-Day

-- Write and maintain test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on specifications and requirements.
-- Execute manual tests and identify, communicate, and document discrepancies encountered during the testing process.
-- Enter, review and update software defects in defect tracking database.
-- Create automation scripts using HP’s ALM BPT tool.
-- Execute and maintain automated HP ALM QTP automated test scripts.
-- Perform other duties as assigned.

Senior QA tester needed to test plan, manually execute test cases, run existing QTP scripts and write HP Quality Center/ALM BPT test scripts for web software development project using Agile Scrum methodology. Excellent communication skills a must.
