Teradata 14.0 DBA (Expert knowledge on database features and SQL, Teradata load utilities, Viewpoint, TPT
Job Description
Implement performance enhancements/fixes to Teradata production environment to shorten query and batch run times
Implement proactive monitoring features on space management, CPU/IO Usage
Optimize existing Partitioning, statistics and indexing strategy
Implement database compression on existing production tables
Troubleshoot performance issues and implement performance resolution in an expedient manner
Must possess experience in working with production environments involving large data volumes and complex workloads
Experience in understanding workload using DBQL data to analyze usage patterns of indexes, statistics and Partitioning constructs
Must have strong knowledge of new features in Teradata 13 & 14
Experience in performance monitoring using tools such as Viewpoint
Must possess knowledge & Experience in using Teradata metadata views (ResUsage, AMPUsage)
Experience in Pharmacy domain and Knowledge of Informatica will be plus
