Role: Sr. UNIX Admin (With Storage Foundation)

Location : Bothell, WA

Duration :6 Months

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Experience in AIX on IBM power 5/6/7 servers.

·         AIX / Linux installation, upgrading, migration and troubleshooting.

·         Upgrade Patches and fixes

·         JFS, JFS2 file systems (creation/modification/deletion)

·         AIX Logical Volume Management.

·         Performance and Monitoring.

·         Backup / recovery using NIM.

·         Configuration of dual VIO server.

·         Configuration SAN storage, EMC Symmetric, Calriion, IBM Shark (DS8100, DS

·         24*7 on call support for Prod/Dev/QA environments.

·         Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.

·         Network Troubleshooting.

·         Experienced in Micro Partitioning.

·         LPAR, DLPAR, VIO using HMC.

·         Blade servers using AMM.

·         Network configuration such as TCP/IP, NFS,NAS.

·         Designing and Implementation of System Security.

·         Power, Blade server hardware installation and configuration.

·         Corporate Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation.

·         SAN disk migration.

 

Mandatory Skills:

 

·         extensive experience on managing and troubleshooting storage foundation on AIX,

·         extensive experience on managing and troubleshooting SFHA, SFCFSHA and

·         extensive experience on troubleshooting veritas dmp is an added advantage.

·         extensive experience on managing VCS for application like SAP & Weblogic and

·         extensive experience on patching various veritas products on 5.0 and 5.1 versions.

·         experience on VOM server is an added advatage.

·         strong knowledge on korn/bash shell scripting.

·         extensive experience on power systems for AIX-virtualizations.

·         strong experience on solaris and linux administration is a plus.4800).

·         Solaris and linux platforms.

·         SFRAC on AIX, Solaris and linux platforms.

·         SYBASE database is an added advantage.
