Skills Required and Job Description:

  • The BizTalk Administration Architect is responsible for managing and automating client's BizTalk application deployment process, maintaining and enhancing its enterprise BizTalk environments, and providing production support for BizTalk applications. An ideal candidate should have extensive experiences of production support of a mission critical BizTalk system, BizTalk deployment automation, BizTalk performance tuning, and design and implementation of a BizTalk platform with high availability and high scalability.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop an automated BizTalk application deployment framework so that a given version of BizTalk applications in TFS can be automatically retrieved, customized and deployed to a target BizTalk environment.  
  • Work with individual BizTalk team lead to ensure BizTalk applications are configured to follow overall deployment framework and are parts of automated deployment process.
  • Perform regular administration and maintenance of the BizTalk system. Evaluate and apply appropriate patches and upgrades to keep the system current, secure, and supported. Perform analysis and tuning to optimize system performance and availability.
  • Leverage the BizTalk administration console, SCOM alerts, system logs, and other means to monitor and respond to problem conditions in a timely and effective manner to prevent unnecessary performance issues or other operational delays. Troubleshoot system and application errors and apply necessary patches/fixes.
  • Monitor and analyze transaction volumes and system resource usages and derive their trends. Project future resource usage and plan for necessary server reconfiguration to maintain high performance and high availability for long term.

Desired Experience and Skills

  •  College Degree Required.
  •  Strong experience with Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004/2006/2006 R2/2009/2010, especially in the areas of BizTalk administration and BizTalk deployment framework.
  •  Strong experience with multi-server and cluster BizTalk environments.
  •  Strong experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
  •  Strong experience with IIS.
  •  Strong experience with SCOM.
  •  Strong experience with Microsoft .NET development platform - Visual Studio 2005 or higher,  ASP.NET, C#, PowerShell, VBScript, MS Build, SQL and TSQL
  •  Strong analytical skills
  •  Strong communication skills
  •  Deliverable oriented mindset.
  •  High energy, highly motivated self-starter
