We are in URGENT need of a Senior .Net programmer for a 6+ months contract. 

Required skills

 

Candidate must be a C#/.NET developer with proven experience in the production of commercial-quality web based applications. Applicants must be comfortable with advanced SQL syntax, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.  This candidate must recognize the value of agile, iterative development and more traditional waterfall project delivery methodologies. Typical responsibilities of this position include the following:

 

• Providing technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation.
• Mentoring four (3) or more developers of various skills, strengths and experience.
• Providing accurate estimates for delivery of functional requirements.
• Defining site or system architecture.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Performing technical design reviews and code reviews.
• Ensuring that all SDLC processes are followed by the development team.
• Leading the effort to implement coding standards.
• Leading the effort to migrate legacy systems to the .NET framework,

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial product delivery experience with ASP.NET,  including C# using MVC.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a senior-level programmer/developer.
• Experience developing SharePoint customizations.
• Expert knowledge of distributed systems, shared infrastructure and Web-based applications. 
• In depth experience with Microsoft SQL server 2005 (2008 experience a plus) including creating/managing tables, authoring stored procedures, triggers, indexes and table relationships.
• Demonstrated design, analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Oracle/.NET integration experience highly desired.
• Team Foundation Server experience highly desired.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in XML, HTML, Twitter Bootstrap, JavaScript, CSS (particularly jQuery), JSON.

·        Visual Studio 2012 and 2013 experience highly desired

·        nHybernate understanding preferred

• Strong organizational & communication skills.
• Ability to motivate others.
