Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Primary Skills: Oracle DBA
Responsibilities:
• At least 3-5 years' experience in systems administration or Oracle DBA
• Superior knowledge of Linux, Oracle, PostgreSQL
• Strong appreciation of the factors necessary for successfully managing large and complex applications
• Self-sufficient, self-motivated and reliable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Must be prepared to discuss interesting and/or large-scale deployment projects during interview process
• Must have real-world experience of managing operations in the following technologies:
• RedHat and/or Ubuntu Linux
• Windows 2k8 Server
• SQL databases : PostgreSQL and Oracle
• NoSQL databases : CouchDB
Other Skills:
• Report to CTO
• Manage client proprietary technologies for data management, sharing and distribution
• Use individual initiative to expand the scalability of current technical infrastructure and environment
• Ensure successful deployment of technically advanced applications into cloud-based environment stack
• Use innovative thinking to provide effective and long-term solutions to complex technical issues
• Maintain best practices for technical operations
• Participate in brain-storming and other idea-generating team sessions
• Work to continuously develop expertise within key areas of technical operations
