Ruby on Rails Developer

Work Location : Cincinnati, OH for the first month or so… then if all goes well they can work remotely for the rest of the 2-3 months.

Duration : 3 Months+ Contract

Rate : Market

 

Hiring manager notes/details/description:

Workload and priorities are established by the client.  This person will be responsible for "ownership" of multiple applications which includes maintenance tickets, new feature development, design, and enhancement tasks.  Tasks will range from a few minutes to several weeks based on the release definition defined by the client.

 

It's expected this person will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
It is preferred that this person works onsite however there is some flexibility depending on their effectiveness and efficiency performing their duties. 

 

Our internal Developer will work with the resource during the transition period and available for assistance if needed.

 

Core Skillset (Required Skills): looking for a minimum of 1 year of experience with each

— Ruby

— Rails 3.x

— Version Control (Git/Mercurial)

— SSH/SCP

— MySQL/Postgres (familiar, can use it from console, not required to be expert) — Linux

 

Secondary:

— Bundler

— Capistrano

— Bash (or shell of choice)

— rspec
