Position: Oracle DBA

Location: Denver, Colorado

Length: One Year Contract

 

 

Implementation of Security Measures

Strong knowledge of SQL, Visual Basics, Oracle

8+ year experience with Oracle

GOLDENGATE REPLICATION REQUIRED

Experience with Backup and Recovery

Experience with Oracle 11gR2, RAC

BASH SCRIPTING REQUIRED

Perl/Python/PHP very nice to have in resume

MySQL very nice to have

 

The main function of a database administrator is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.

o Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor 

Skills 
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) 
o Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required) 
o Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required) 
o Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software (Required) 
o Strong knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc (Required)

Enterprise Databases
Oracle RDBMS *	8+ Yrs.
Standard Qualifications
Enterprise Data Warehouse *	8+ Yrs.
UNIX Shell Scripting *	5+ Yrs.
Must have skills		8+ years hands-on experience with Oracle Databases; 5+ years as a DBA; Unix shell scripting; Database performance tuning; pl/sql coding; GOLDENGATE REPLICATION REQUIRED; GOLDENGATE REPLICATION; BASH SCRIPTING REQUIRED
