Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Greensboro, NC

Duration:- 6+ months 

 

Description:

• Senior Programmers are expected to have in-depth technical experience and the ability to apply that experience to specific business challenges.
• Senior Programmers exhibit a strong desire to build high-performance, highly-available and scalable systems.

 

Experience Level Description:

• The experience level for this position is defined as having 6+ years in the IT space and 4+ years in the specific technology set they are recruited for.
• Resources at this level would be expected to be able to take on loosely defined technical tasks and complete them with little oversight.
• A Senior Programmer will display excellent oral and written communication skills and posses the ability to speak and listen effectively.

 

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Tech Leads to identify technical solutions to business problems.
• Execute component level development tasks with little direction.
• Demonstrate the ability to create scalable software solutions based on UML diagrams and business requirements.
• Mentor junior developers in new technologies.
• Assure that all technical deliverables are consistent with organizational standards.
• Capable of coming up to speed quickly on new tools and software.
• Provide production support of existing systems as needed.

 

Hands-on General Technology Experience:

• JEE (J2EE) 1.4, 1.5
• JSE (J2SE) 1.4, 5, 6
• Spring, ORM Tools, AOP, JUnit
• XML: XSD, XSLT, DTD
• Web service technologies
• Web presentation technologies
• Database platforms
• Object-oriented analysis and design skills
• UML: design patterns
• Advanced refactoring experience
• Ability to be hands-on with tools & frameworks.

                                               

Advanced experience in one or more of the following domains is a plus

• Service Oriented Architecture
• Reusable component driven design
• Enterprise security models
• Cloud & distributed computing
• Messaging, reliable messaging
• Enterprise service bus utilization

 

• Client Tier Technologies
• Web technologies
• Mobile technologies
• Groupware integration
• Usability engineering

 

• Business to Business
• EDI
• Data standards (XML, ANSI X12)
• System integration (EAI)
• Data and protocol transformation

 

• Workflow/Process Management
• Global 360, Process Server or equivalent

• Enterprise content and document management platforms
• Human-centric business process
• Process analysis and automation

 

• Enterprise Rules
• iLog or equivalent
• Expert systems
• Rules definition and management
• User interface design and development
