Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Greensboro, NC

Duration : 8 months

 

Skills Required: 

8 – 10 years of experience with data analysis, data quality and data warehouse usage 

Financial sector (specifically Mortgage Insurance) experience 

Experience with IBM's InfoSphere Product Suite (DataStage, Information Analyzer) 

Experience with SAS for analytics and interfacing with other analytic platforms a plus

Experience using the Oracle database engine for analytics and data warehousing 

Excellent communication and presentation skills 

 

Job Description: 

This position is for Data Analyst role with United Guaranty O&S Enterprise Data Management. 

 

Candidate needs to have strong problem solving skills. 

 

Candidate will be expected to : 

Determining the root cause of a data quality problem that utilizes multiple disparate data sources/platforms. 

Creation of a data quality rule and solution to ensure that target data models provide accurate and fit to purpose data. 

 

Tasks Breakdown 

• Design, develop and deploy data quality and translation rules 25% 

• Gather requirements for data reporting and data quality from Business units 25% 

• Monitor and report on Data Quality and ETL statistics 25% 

• Be the interface between the Business, ETL developers and Data Modelers 25%
