Type of Application: BI Developer

Assignment Responsibilities:

·          Creating advanced pivot tables and reports in Excel from both SSAS cubes and disparate data sources for comparison and data testing

·          Testing output data for purposes of both data validation and report correctness

·          Microsoft T-SQL experience for exploring data directly on the database as required

·          Interact with data teams to discuss data model and data relationships in troubleshooting data and consumption layer defects or required additions

·          PC Insurance experience, particularly delivering reporting functionality in this space

·          Experience with Tableau a large plus

·          Experience with Business Objects a large plus

 

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2012 will host the analytical data store. The majority of the BI layer required to complete this assignment will be built using Microsoft SQL Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes. Heavy experience with SSAS, Multidimensional Expression (MDX) development, star schema analytical data stores, ETL architectures and concepts and T-SQL development are required. Experience with Business Objects universe and report development and Tableau development is highly desired.
