 Skills and Knowledge Required

·         Strong communication and inter-personal skills with ability to work with a team cross locations

·         Self motivated and cognisant of agreed deadlines

·         Strong Java, JBOSS, and Swing – all essential

·         Strong knowledge of J2EE, Spring, JMS and XML, Hibernate.

·         Good knowledge of REST web services, Web Sphere MQ and Tibco EMS is desired.

·         Knowledge of Mule ESB  is desired

·         Proficient at UNIX Solaris/Linux and MS Windows.  UNIX Shell and scripting is desired.

·         Good knowledge of Transact-SQL, SQL queries and Stored Procedures (e.g. Oracle/Sybase).

·         Object oriented design and programming as well being at least familiar with design patterns

·         Good understanding of full software life cycle development process

·         Experience working in financial markets is essential; experience in Securities Lending or Equity Finance is beneficial

·         Experience working in a software development and/or support capacity in a time critical financial markets environment.

 

Advantageous:

·         Continuous Integration and test experience

·         Background in investment banking or financial sector
