Location: MI

Duration: Long Term

Interview: Phone Interview

 

Job responsibilities:

This position is responsible for Build and Deploy automation along with Software Configuration Management (SCM) and System Admin functions.  We need to make significant improvements to our Build and Deploy process and a candidate with a strong background in automation, scripting, and system admin is necessary.  Additionally, strong leadership skills are necessary to implement new systems and processes.

 

Qualifications:

The candidate should have experience in the following areas:

·         Continuous Build

·         Incorporating automated tests into the Build/Deploy process

·         Streamlining and simplifying the movement through environments (Dev, Int, QA, Pre-Prod, Prod, etc.)

·         Automating Build/Deploy of databases and database changes

·         Ability to understand existing proprietary Build/Deploy process

·         Continuous deployment (or at least deployment on demand)

·         Defining and establishing efficient Build/Deploy processes

·         Acting as administrator for a source control system

·         Automated testing code coverage

·         Scripting solutions as necessary, including bash

·         Collaborating with other groups like Configuration Management, Database, and Operations to implement Build/Deploy in limited access environments (like Prod)

·         Defining and setting up virtual environments to achieve Build/Deploy solutions

 

The candidate should be comfortable in a leadership role to include:

·         Leading and mentoring less experienced technicians to achieve goals

·         Working across organizations to coordinate the implementation of Build/Deploy solutions
