Title: Senior Java developer (10+ Yrs) Location: Dallas, TX Duration: Long term Job Type: Contract Interview Mode: Phone / Skype Positions: 8 Note: Must have experience in rules engines, continuous integration, DevOps concepts, NOSQL and other JVM programming languages are a major plus. We are looking for a strong Java developer with hands on experience in Spring Framework, ORM, Event Driven Architecture (Complex Event Processor) and Automated Build/Testing. Candidate must have thorough hands on experience in agile development, preferably knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe) as well. Candidates with wide ranging experiences across the different roles within the SDLC are preferred. Candidates with experience across the technology stack covering UI and server side programming are preferred. Candidate must have technical experience of 10+ years in software development. Experience in rules engines, continuous integration, DevOps concepts, NOSQL and other JVM programming languages are a major plus. Working knowledge of Open source technologies and continuous delivery are good to have. Candidate must be able to seamlessly transition between architecture & design activities (20%) and coding and implementation activities (80%). Candidate will be working on complex, highly visible, multi-year projects. The candidate is expected to be able to evangelize and influence development best practices within their team. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop Applications in an agile manner following Technology Services development standards. Coordinate with other technical teams to develop appropriate interfaces and ensure quality and efficiency through capacity planning, performance assessment, and both integration and regression testing. Build applications with Security and NFR requirements in mind. Understand and adhere to the Technology Services infrastructure and inter-relationships. Develop and maintain efficient solutions to resolve complex business needs. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor / Masters Computer Science or related field. • At least 7 years of US experience in software development. • Sound programming background in Java • Experience working in Agile development environment, with knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe). • Hands on experience using various aspects of the Spring Framework • Basic Programming experience on Unix Shell scripting. • Experience working with Event driven architectures and complex event processors • N tier Architecture (MVC, JEE) • ORM (Object Relational Mapping) • Hands on experience with Continuous Integration (Unit Testing, Automation Testing, Automated Build/Deploy) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, JUnit, Artifactory, and Chef). Experience using NoSQL databases like Mongodb, Infinispan Datagrid, Redis, etc. and data management like Cassandra, splunk/Elk Familiarity with Rules Management System (e.g. Drools, IBM Lombardi) Agile tools (e.g. Version One).
