Position: SQL/SSRS Reports Developer

Duration: Longterm

Location: Minneapolis, MN

 

Develops content for new or existing reports, or improve existing reporting format, use, or reporting controls.  Reviews reporting requests to determine basic characteristic requirements , such as report type and layout, chart/graph design, data design and source origin, database table format,  and reporting work flow, frequency, distribution and purpose or function of the reports.  

• Examines, evaluates and verifies the purpose of reporting is being met, verifies computational accuracy of report fields and confers with persons originating, handling, processing, or receiving reports to identify any problems or  to gather suggestions for report  improvements.
• Recommends establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.
• Evaluates reporting process and procedures , using knowledge of reporting workflow, operating practices, data/records retention schedules, and office equipment publishing capabilities.
• May prepare and issue instructions concerning generation, completion, and distribution of reports according to new or revised practices, procedures, or recommend policies for reporting to management.
• Excellent oral communication and report development skills with superior  knowledge of database and reporting tools such as MS SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), Excel, etc. as necessary to connect to reporting SQL databases and produced defined  reports in a timely manner.
