Title: Front End UI Developer

Location: Broomfield, CO

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Project/Projects the candidate will likely be working on:
Enterprise Customer Relationship Management application

Team make-up:
4-8 Engineers, 1 Architect, 1 DBA, QA, 1 PM, 2 BSA, 1 Scrum Master

Top 5-10 Responsibilities for this Position:
- Write enterprise-class client JavaScript including client-side unit tests
- Write scalable presentation-server code with associated server API tests
- Write documentation specific to developed APIs and component implementations
- Collaborate with team with respect to coding standards, architecture, and CI
- Able to thrive in a standards-driven culture
- Translate complex business and industry requirements into executable code
- Ability and desire to thrive in an Agile environment, including pair programming
- Stay current on emerging technologies, standards, browser features, etc

Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong Object Oriented (OO) design and Model/View/Controller (MVC) implementation expertise
- Use of JavaScript as a primary authoring language for the past year or 3 prior years
- Proficient with Backbone.js, Angular.js, or similar JavaScript framework (3+ years)
- Proficient with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or similar server-side framework (3+ years)
- Experience writing unit and functional tests using Mocha/Chai, Jasmine, etc. (3+ years)
- Experience with code quality tools like ESLint, JSHint, JSLint, instanbul, etc.
- Highly proficient at creating responsive, accessible HTML5 and CSS3 interfaces
- Experience branching and merging with version control system; preferably Git
- Strong communication skills with a focus on giving/receiving constructive feedback

Optional (but desirable) Skills and Experience:
- Experience with agile development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, etc)
- Experience building an application(s) in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins) and deployment to multiple server environments
- Passionate about continuous integration and UI/UX design
- Working knowledge of Linux and Apache/Nginx
- Experience working NoSQL/Document/Graph databases (MongoDB, Hadoop or similar)
- Healthcare industry experience
