Position: SR. Oracle DBA
Location: Linthicum, MD
Duration: 6+ Months

Candidate must be a United States resident (must reside in US for 3 consecutive years). Proof of either residency or citizenship will be required upon onboarding. Per Statement of Work, E-Verify must be completed for every resource accepted and onboarded. Full legal name must be used when submitting for this position.
Resource will perform all Oracle Application and DBA maintenance and related support tasks on all HIGLAS environments. Resource will perform all work onsite at the IBM HIGLAS HOC Linthicum, MD location. Resource will work in a team environment and across a highly matrix support environment, be willing to work a rotational/on-call schedule, work overtime, evenings and weekends when necessary. A rescheduled work week should also be considered. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, positive attitude, strong mentoring skills, flexible and be able to document and articulate tasks performed.
Responsibilities (refer to Statement of Work) in order of importance:
Job Duty 1- Analyze/apply Oracle patches – 20%
Job Duty 2 – Perform clones of R12 environments – 20%
Job Duty 2 - Troubleshoot Oracle Application and Database problems – 20%
Job Duty 3 - Provide performance support for Oracle Applications -10%
Job Duty 4 -.Perform Backup/Restore functions for the Oracle Application and Database -20%
Job Duty 5 - Carryout capacity planning and pro-active monitoring. – 10%
All 5 + years of hands-on experience required:
Skill 1 - Oracle Applications DBA 12.2.x experience on AIX.
Skill 2 - Have perform Oracle Applications Upgrades
Skill 3 - Worked in an AIX environment
Skill 4- Proficient in analyzing/applying patches, cloning, and troubleshooting with the Oracle Application and Database
Skill 5 - Performance tuning experience
Skill 6- Oracle RAC experience with concurrent ASM a must
Skill 7 – Unix shell scripting and C programming is a must
Skill 8 – Experience with OBIEE, BI Apps, Weblogic, OEM 12c, Active Datagaurd, FlashCopy
Skill 9 – Experience with Partitioning and Compression
Skill 10 – Experience with EBS Archiving tool
Skill 11 – Configuring SSL certificates, configuring applications with HW load balancer and shared APPL_TOP
All 5+ years of hands-on experience required:
Preferred Skill 1 & Yrs Exp: Experience with ADOP and R12.2.x cloning
Preferred Skill 2 & Yrs Exp: Experience with Oracle AMS (Patch Manager, Setup Manager, Customization Manager)
Preferred Skill 3 & Yrs Exp: Experience with using Panaya for managing CEMLIs for R12.2.x upgrades
Preferred Skill 4 & Yrs Exp: Familiarization with using Build Forge for managing builds a definite plus
