 Job description:

Interview Process: First round phone interview. Second round face to face if candidate is local. If candidate is not local, may be able to arrange second round phone or Skype.

 

Overview:

Our financial client's Wealth Management Technology division is looking for Sr. Developer with at least 7-8 years of experience designing and developing high volume, time sensitive transactional applications for the financial industry. The role will be involved in the integration of Charles River IMS with other systems utilizing Data stage, Unix and Oracle. The candidate will be responsible for, understanding the requirements and developing core data solution for Charles River application.

 

 

High-level Job Duties:

• Responsible for being a developing core data load solution using Data Stage, UNIX, oracle and Mainframe.

• Provides technical expertise at the highest level with ability to work with multiple team members

• Participate in full-life cycle development activities including analysis of business requirements, defining standards, creating technical designs, developing solutions and unit testing.

• Responsible for participating in the team's software design reviews and code reviews per financial client's standards and industry best practices.

• Provide technical analysis for current projects; including participating in research, requirements definition and execution.

• Understanding of Financial system is must. Charles River experience is added advantage.

• Assist in maintenance of developed components, as well as best-practices documentation in division knowledge bases.

• Document and/or maintain troubleshooting guides and support procedures.

• Provide afterhours fire call support for recently deployed changes and occasional escalation from the Support Team.

• Proven ability to handle several assignments simultaneously.

• Proven ability to work independently.

• Great communication and people skills.

 

 

Knowledge/Skills: 

At least 7-8 years of experience designing and developing high volume, time sensitive transactional applications for the financial industry using the following:
• Data Stage 11.3, 8.5 

• Unix Scripting.

• PL/SQL

• Mainframe

• XML

• TFS or any other version control Tool 

• Oracle 12c - Understand SQL, procedures, functions and packages. Ability to create complex SQL, procedures, functions and packages is a plus.
