Job Description:

 

QA Tester w/ Business Analyst Skills
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions:
• Experience Level 3+ years
• Interface with the business client to gather, understand, articulate and document business needs and requirements, and to help develop and maintain the client relationship.
• Identify business and functional requirements by working with application end-users, and lead the collection, analysis, documentation and coordination of those requirements.
• Provide overall support to ensure the successful design, testing and implementation of applications that support the business.
• Organize and support User Acceptance Testing for new software applications.
• Work closely with developers, other analysts and users to ensure business and functional requirements are met by a systematic validation of new and existing functionality to include identifying technical defects within an application before and after production implementation.
• Develop test cases to insure the systematic needs and rules for each Business and Functional Requirement are met by the application.  Perform testing and document test results for each technical and functional test case and log and report test results to development team.
• Perform regression testing post implementation of configuration or coding changes to application and log test results and report test results to development team.
• Be proactive in follow up on open testing issues with development team and business clients.
• Document changes to requirements throughout the testing phase of the project.  Analyze requirement changes for gaps between current and desired states.  
• Identify any potential quality issues during testing and escalate potential quality issues immediately.
• Provide hands on business client training during and after testing sessions.
 
Specific Requirements:
The Consultant will conduct the business requirements and testing analysis with the following qualifications in mind:
• Solid and proven past experience in understanding complex business requirements, defining test cases, executing test scripts, and providing user training and support to business applications..
• Knowledge of business process and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Able to work as a member of a diverse project team and with demanding clients in different settings.
• Willing to learn new technologies and business functions quickly
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies and QA processes.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and CRM platforms (e.g. MS Dynamics) is a must.
