Job Description:

 

We are in search of an experienced IT Business Data Analyst with at least 5+ years of experience. In addition to strong SQL experience an ideal resource will also have experience pulling data from Mainframe DB2 would be preferred. Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse specifically using Business Objects would also be nice to have.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Gather Requirements and define data needs of project(s)

·         Perform data mapping

·         Collaborate with multiple IT teams to define and document data definitions

·         Perform data analysis inclusive but not limited through the utilization of SQL

·         Creation of requirement and functional design documents detailing how the data related to assigned projects should be transformed for the data warehouse, stored within the data warehouse, and transformed for the downstream applications

·         Provides input into the creation of detailed project plans, work assignments, target dates and other aspects of assigned projects

·         Partners with the associated 5/3 technical teams in the research and resolution of system and process problems

·         May create test plans associated to the assigned projects

·         May perform some aspects of project management including but not limited to approval gathering, readiness assessments, and other artifacts and controls

 

Desired Skills/Experience:

·         Data Analysis/ Data Mapping

·         Gathering user requirements

·         Writing functional specifications

·         Any experience working with Business Objects (Nice to have)

·         Banking industry experience (Nice to have)
