Title: Sr. Network Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA (Need Locals - F2F Interview)

Duration: 7 Months+ extension

Interview Mode: Phone + F2F

 

Notes:

·        Will be joining a team of 6

·        Looking for a strong, solid network engineer with WAN/LAN knowledge

·        With being a strong network engineer, should have known the concept of security/comes with the territory, but not focused on it

·        Aruba networks- would be nice if they had some knowledge of it/have ever logged into the device. But should have some working knowledge of wireless technology

·        They need some RESOURCEFUL. Someone who can come in and hit the ground running. If asked to do something will go do it. If have a technical question, ask and then go do it.

·        Wants someone who is VERY reliable, likes to work. Willing to be available if needed. Flexible working schedule. Mostly normal hours, but sometimes will have to have a flexible schedule and be willing to work more than 40 hours/week (will get paid for more)

·        Good communication is a must. Both verbal and written (had to fire someone because they were great throughout the interview and strong technically, but could not write an email. Very unfortunate, but had to do it)

·        They built a new data center, so this person will be helping to support the network that goes along with this

·        Nice to haves: certifications, just because has the cert doesn't mean has had experience, but nice to have.

 

Description:

1)         10 plus years of experience in Network Engineering field

2)         Certifications are a plus

3)        Solid on: Has direct experience with LAN, WAN, Firewall, Load balancers, DNS

4)        Good on: Has direct experience with wireless, voice, video

5)         All of the above experience needs to be on Cisco Equipment

6)         Other good to have is: Experience with Aruba networks (now HP), Cisco products, F5, Solarwinds,
