Job Description

·         Working to support the Data Center of Excellence group, the Visualization Developer will service the critical operational data needs of the enterprise.

·         In this role you will work with various team members to design and develop business intelligence interfaces for select business users.

·         In order to succeed, you will need to be comfortable juggling several projects at once and handle the occasional quick turnaround.

·         You will also assist in performance tuning and user feedback and acceptance.

 

Job Responsibilities

·         Provide input on design decisions and implement designs in applicable tools for end user consumption

·         Works on multiple projects, providing both task oriented support as well as solution generation

·         Create custom controls to provide users with highly useable and built-to-purpose interfaces

·         Suggest appropriate visualizations depending on a given use case

• Performance tuning of front ends and connections to back-end systems
• Documentation of solutions designed and assistance with user help resources

  

Education

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration, and/or

·         Significant equivalent work experience with TIBCO Spotfire, SQL Server Reporting Services and Tableau and interactive web applications

 

Knowledge/Skills

·         Knowledge of data and database concepts

·         Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of statistical analysis

·         Experience with TIBCO Spotifre, Tableau and the Microsoft BI stack required

·         Working knowledge data and database concepts; databases used will include SQL Server 2012, Teradata and Oracle

·         Experienced in report generation, modification and management

·         C++, Java, JavaScript, Python/IronPython

·         Communication Skills required - The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably at the right level
