Job Title: Project/Program Manager
Location: Roseville, CA
Duration: 12 months
Minimum requirements:
· Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
· Experience working in large scale Cloud Computing or Data Center deployments highly desirable – OpenStack experience with IaaS and SaaS preferred
· Strong background in leading multi-disciplinary IT programs/projects
· Basic understanding of server infrastructure, networking, and / or data center operations required
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships and drive the team to completion
· Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
· Proven experience in people management
· Proven experience in risk management
· Proficient in project management software
· Experience with Product Definition / Management a plus
Key Responsibilities
· This is a highly visible position that will interact at every level internally to advocate HP technology and influence change. In this role, you will be responsible to:
· Lead the planning and implementation of projects
· Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
· Define project tasks and resource requirements
· Develop full scale project plans
· Assemble and coordinate project staff
· Manage project resource allocation
· Plan and schedule project timelines
· Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
· Provide direction and support to project team
· Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
· Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
· Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
· Project evaluations and assessment of results
· Find contingencies and create course corrections when projects meet reality
