Description:
Architect need to have a center of experience in Siebel. The project is a migration from a legacy Siebel system to Salesforce. It's multi-phased with the first starting now. Essentially it's data decomposition, roles and rules mapping, end state rule design and data migration.
Yes travel is certainly an option. Generally it's 50/50 on site/remote once things get going. The user base is spread over the US.
Looking for two resources that are very data centric to do the following. Ideally one BA and a hands on Data architect. Both need to know Siebel as a baseline and ideally have exposure to Salesforce.
Ideal deadline: end of month
1. Trace walk the data through the integrations that go into and out of Siebel. (more technical)
2. Establish the data uses, business process mappings within Siebel to map to Salesforce. (more business)
Establish Data Roadmap and Pre-implementation for New Customer Master(s)
Company shall use a structured approach to defining at a strategic and operational level – an understanding of the system migration between in house Siebel (internal names) and Salesforce.com issues and data requirements.
• The outcome will be a set of clear requirements for the migration of data
• To draw boundaries around a phased approach of data migration into future state and other internal systems
• Identification of risks, gaps and dependencies across process, technologies and organization
- Based on the following inputs:
• Existing data artifacts, system architectures and integrations
• Key business drivers and definitions of terms
• Data and integration inventory
• Core workflows
• System environment information
• Master and Reference data structures
• System data models and coverages
- Based on the inputs, Company will analyze the following data:
• Solution and/or vendor match for existing data sets
• Ability to deliver and support growth requirements of business model in target environment
• Identification/mapping of major subject areas and facts (for model analysis/development)
• Complexity and cost of integration/migration
• Data life cycle mapping (chain of custody)
- Deliverables shall include:
• Level I business data target environment(s) requirements
• Business definitions
• Level I data architecture to enable integration/migration requirements
• Data quality profile of existing data
• Data and integration inventory
• Major subject areas and facts (model gap analysis/development)
• Roadmap of follow-on effort to complete migration
