Position: Network Engineer (USC/GC Only)
Location: Schenectady, NY
Duration: 6+ months

Network Engineering Resource

•Network design and implementation, including coordination with the GO IT build team

•Network and connectivity simplification and cost out project execution

•Steer evaluation and introduction of some of the more widely accepted devices leveraging standard GE PMM and NPI processes.

•Network rationalization - search and identify each location where low-cost connectivity solutions can be implemented and

work closely with SCADA design engineers to evaluate simplification efforts that bring GE's industrial data solutions closer to

our customers while simultaneously providing enhanced accessibility to our field engineers

 

Mobility Resource

•Work closely with functional experts to elicit requirements and prioritize initiatives

•Software - strategically design, develop, and maintain a manufacturing execution data collection tool for use within the Wind manufacturing segment

•Hardware - complete client computing analysis specifically focusing on the advancement of mobility to the end users in the manufacturing and field services space.

•Provide quality internal and external client-oriented documentation and facilitate training programs on behalf of project managers

•Develop and maintain change management strategy to assure system stability
