PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must have recent and advanced Investment Industry experience. Portfolio Management – trading, asset management, fixed income, bonds, trusts, securities, derivatives, etc. Banking experience does NOT qualify.
Background:
The Front Office IT team is responsible for the implementation of strategic and tactical portfolio management and trading solutions across the Front Office.
As well as performing business analysis, the Senior BA must build strong relationships with the QA testers, Developers, Product Owner and end-users to ensure that the requirements properly meet the demands of the portfolio managers, traders and other business users.

Technical and Professional Qualifications:
Ideally IMC, or other qualifications or courses demonstrating an interest in the business
Demonstrated history of learning, particularly in the front office environment. For example, conferences or specific training courses relating to front office.

Experience and Background:
Must have worked in a fund management company as a business analyst supporting front office functions
Demonstrated ability to understand and develop a 3-year direction for a functional area
Demonstrated ability to estimate the time taken to carry out analysis tasks, and meet the time estimated
Demonstrated ability to develop excellent business cases, and requirements documents
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans
Demonstrated ability to engage in multiple initiative simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work independently with users to define concepts or under the direction of project managers
Must be able to demonstrate a collaborative approach with developers and subject matter experts to establish the approach to projects, and ensure good communication of requirements

Specialist Knowledge & Skills:
Good knowledge of front office functions for an Institutional Fund Management company
Good knowledge of LGIM products (or such products in a similar organisation) specifically Liability Driven Investments.
Good knowledge of complex OTC instruments.
Experience in using Sophis Value or Sophis Risque or an equivalent front office portfolio management risk tool.
