Looking for an experienced java developer familiar with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) concepts.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following: • Perform customer solution requirements analysis and translate into detailed software requirements. • Assist in providing cost estimation based on requirements. • Develop software to meet customer solution requirements. • Ensure end-to-end software programs adhere to requirement specification. • Provide customer support services for trouble reports related to delivered software solutions (part of an on-call support roster). • Perform software configuration management and release management of software Qualifications • Education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent. • Pertinent Experience - Experience in design and leading design teams in various technologies such as: J2EE, Java, Web Services, Oracle, scripting. • Strong consulting skills and experience on customer-driven development projects. • Demonstrated leadership skills. • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM project environment. • Experience working with off shored teams. • ETL. Knowledge of Data Flows and Data Streaming. Pentaho PDI and BI Server. • High programming skills in Java Enterprise Edition: • SOAP and RESTful web services • JAX-WS web service endpoints • The Java Database Connectivity API (JDBC) • Experience programming real-time and distributed environment applications: multi-threading and concurrency. • Programming and debugging skills of telecom-grade applications using communication protocols: TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, HTML, XML, SOAP, SSL, SNMP. • Previous experience using Eclipse as IDE for Java EE programming, debugging and profiling. • High testing and troubleshooting skills for Java EE based applications. • Knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Transformation: XML/XSD/XSLT. • Relational Databases with at least experience on two known database: mySql, oracle • Scripting and build automation knowledge – batch files, ant, jenkins. • Strong knowledge of using tools related to software development such as GIT, automated testing tools, etc. • Knowledge of ETL (Extraction, translation, loading) concepts • Desirable experience in IMS DISCLAIMER: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
