PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the Record to Report Financial Processes definition including; leading and facilitating process review forums and managing process flow documentation
Ensuring that the Record to Report processes are effective and efficient. These include but not limited to: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgets Grants, Capital Planning and Fixed Assets
Define and document ERP Record to Report, finance data and process outcomes
Collaborate with functional and technical teams on business needs, information, applications, and long term plans while helping to ensure integration with strategic plans
Perform an Impact Assessment due to process changes, both functional and organizational
Facilitate and guide process change management into a steady state
Establish change controls
Provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum 6-10 years demonstrated progression in Record to Report Domain (GL Accounting, Closing & Reporting, FP&A, etc.) preferably in a large healthcare organization
Hands on experience on managing complex General Ledger Accounting & Reporting processes with experience of migrating such processes
Strong working knowledge of GAAP/SOX/ Internal Controls and other regulatory mandates
Ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and management to drive sound business decisions
Experience working with Finance and Record to Report ERP modules
Expertise with configuration and design of ERP modules
Experience translating business needs into process and implementation requirements
Must be an individual contributor and results oriented
Strong ability to train and teach others
