Position:              Unix System Admin (Analyst / Programmer Services )

Position:              K14-0005-29

Duration:             18 Months +

Location:             Annapolis, MD       

Client:                 Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC)

Required Skills:

·         Five years' experience programming in PROGRESS 4GL.

·         3-4 years' experience working with UNIX (AIX).

·         Windows

·         Strong analytical and programming skills

·         Court Case Management application experience desired.

·         Experience with UNIX/AIX based, large scale applications.

·         Microsoft Access Database experience

·         ORACLE and tools

·         SQL and PL/SQL

·         XML

·         Java script.

·         FTP

Business and Analytical Skills:

·         Good teamwork skills

·         Ability to communicate information technical and non-technical audiences

·         Strong business process knowledge

·         Financial experience, required

·         Court business experience, a plus

·         Ability to prepare and deliver presentation

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Ability to multi-task

Primary Job Functions: Analyst for MDEC

1. Statewide Financial Implementation MDEC/GEARS:

1. Serve as lead business analyst and SME;

·         Provide analysis and requirements for vendor development of Statewide Case Management System.

·         Evaluate District and Circuit Court financial systems then recommend and assist in development of standardize statewide Financial Configurations per current Maryland statutes

·         Provide analysis and recommendations for standardized statewide code configuration and provide testing support of those configurations.

·         Provide ongoing support of data review for MDEC data conversions.

·         Provide analysis and design input for audit requirements for MDEC and GEARS

·         Support system testing of MDEC and GEARS development, as well as provide support during User Acceptance Testing.

·         Provide analysis for programming support of newly designed architecture for MDEC and GEARS (i.e. BUS)

·         Analyze existing and proposed data exchanges for interoperability for statewide financial systems

2. Analyze and develop business rules specifications for the development of MDEC and GEARS Financial Systems.

3. Analysis and coordination support of other non-financial areas of MDEC, as needed.

Secondary Job Functions: Analyst/programmer for UCS

2. Ongoing PROGRESS programming support for UCS modules, as needed:

·         Ad hoc reports and programs modification NICS;

·         Assist in the support of new requirements for Case flow assessment data extract (ongoing);

·         Provide Help Desk support for UCS Accounting Module, as needed.

Education:

·         Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college of university in an Information Technology related field or Business Management.
